New Grants and Funding Options In Florida, Wyoming, Nebraska, and Iowa

This week, we are featuring grant and loan options for the states that Ryder (our CEO) drives through on his way to New York. In this post, we will highlight a few options that are available to small businesses in Wyoming, Nebraska, and Iowa. We also included grants for Florida due to the number of requests on our YouTube channel. Florida Grant Opportunities

We added Florida to this list due to numerous requests on our latest YouTube video. Here are the current grant and funding opportunities for Florida businesses and entrepreneurs.

• $100K Employee Training Reimbursement Grant: The Incumbent Worker Training grant enables businesses to receive a grant, up to $100K, to reimburse the cost of preapproved direct training their employee(s). An incumbent worker is one who works at least 37.5 hours per week, is at least 18 years of age, is a Florida resident, and has worked for the company for at least six months prior to the submission of the application. Apply through the Career Source Florida website. Currently, there is no deadline.
• Grants Up to $25K for Miami Small Businesses: The City of Miami's Business Assistance Grant Program awards a one-time grant of $25K or 20% of 2019 business revenue, whichever is less. The grant must be used to cover expenditures that enabled your business to remain operational. The online application is available here. Applications are accepted on a first come first serve basis.
• $15K Grants for Seminole County businesses: Seminole County's Small Business Assistance Program will award grants ranging from $5K to $15K, to support local businesses. In order to qualify, businesses must be privately held, started prior to January 1, 2020, received $100K or less from the Paycheck Protection Program, and meet other qualifications.
• $500K small business loans: The Rebuild Florida Business Loan Fund seeks to help businesses "by providing longer-term loans with higher funding levels at market interest rates," and is open to all businesses established in Florida.

Wyoming Grant Opportunities

If you live in 'The Cowboy State,' here are a couple of opportunities for your consideration.

• Technology Grants: Wyoming offers assistance for entrepreneurs and businesses in the research and development industries. Wyoming was a recipient of the SBA's FAST grant, which helps businesses bid on government contracts through the SBIR/STTR programs.
• $5K grants and business loans: The Wyoming Business Council offers businesses a variety of grant and loan options, including a $5K grant for energy efficiency improvements and several different term loan options backed by the state (up to 80%).

Nebraska Grant Opportunities

There are two opportunities for Nebraska small businesses. As we find more, we'll post them on our app.

• $60K business grants: The City of Lincoln's Small Business Stabilization Grant program offers grants of up to $60K for small businesses that experienced a loss of revenue due to the pandemic. The grant must be used to pay up to six months of rent or mortgage. It's available on a first-come-first-serve basis until the funds are depleted.
• Grants for small businesses and non-profits: The State of Nebraska has a Community Grant Resources page that contains grants for businesses and non-profits. On this page, businesses can find grants for research and development, to use for the creation of internships, job training for employees, and much more.

Iowa Grant Opportunities

For entrepreneurs state-wide and businesses located in the city of Walnut, here are opportunities for you.

• $5K Grants for startups in Walnut, Iowa: The Small Business Start-Up Grant was created to support businesses located in the City of Walnut within their first five years of operation. Businesses that have annual revenue of $350K or less or employ fewer than f full-time employees can receive a $5K grant.
• $5-10K grant opportunity: The Dream Big Grow Here business grant program provides grants and technical assistance to entrepreneurs, so they can start or grow their businesses. The program also teaches entrepreneurs about social media marketing.
